hi would anyone have access to the absent voters list for the 1st world war.i am looking for harmans from whitstable.i
cannot find them on ancestry apart from richard.many thanks chris

Some things you could try:
The newly released 1911 census online — if you haven’t already.
Kent FHS publishes an excellent CD of Whitstable directories — it’s their CD Rom 18. Goes up to 1940. You can order online.
British Library would be a good place to try for an Absent Voters’ List. From conversations with Brit Lib staff a couple of years ago, I believe that not all AVLs survive, though (i.e. their collection is not complete). Quite possibly there would also be copies in local Kent archives in Canterbury and Maidstone but I have not seen them.
