hi, wondering if any one can help find some names and deaths of infants, that passed away in betreen 1893 to1914. my
greatgrandmother had a few children but lost 4 i think, my mum says two children was accidently tiped out of there pram and shes not sure which way round it is but there was also a set of twins that passed away. all she was told is that thay used to live in essex st and the factory which i think was a lemonade factory next door to them had to close down for the day as she had to have peace and quiet while in labour. liz.

Hi there
There is no short cut to doing this, assuming that you have already found the family on the 1901 and 1911 censuses and
neither of these name infants who died shortly after a census date. In other words, you have to search the B and D
indexes. I suggest you do this in reverse order — looking for Deaths / surname Hawkins / registration district Blean and
then x-refering these to the births. You’ll have to buy the certs to be sure it’s your family though.
From June q 1911 onwards the mother’s maiden surname is given in the B index, so you can go to freeBMD and search
from then to 1914 searching Hawkins against Pout.
