Boatbuilding in Whitstable

Hi
My 4x great grandfather Peter Tall (born 1767, married All Saints Whitstable, died 1818 Whitstable, buried All Saints
Whistable) was a boatbuilder in the Seasalter/Whitstable area (according to his Will).
Does anyone have any information on boatbuilding/shipyards in the area which might assist me in finding out more about Peter Tall?
