hi, i have a little info for you, my mum new les tolpott and his wife blanch they had a daughter called rita who my mum was friends with. he had a big yard in suffollk street in whitstable with a big barn piled high with clothes and blanch used to cut all the buttons off and use them. they had a black and white dog that loved running around in circles. and a horse named tricksy. my mum used to go there and go for rides on the cart with rita, and when you heard him coming down the road my nan used to tell my mum quick get the bucket just in case to scoop up any horse dung for the garden. they was known as uncle les and aunty blanch to most of the locals and was a loverly couple.
