The researcher who gave you the info could not have got the B cert of Alfred John (otherwise they would know the maiden surname of his mother) or his M cert (otherwise they would know the name of the father of his wife Charlotte). My guess is that they have picked up the wrong B (or baptism) for Alfred John. If you find any info to the contrary, substantiating the Bridge connection, I would be pleased to learn of it though.
