Hi Suzannah

The info I have is as per my post of 12th May and, as mentioned then, is not verified with BMD certs. I have in addition the quarters of B for most of the persons 1-7 and i-f in my post and some census returns.

I have nothing about any of the other Rigden family with the Bridge, Ripple etc family events detailed in your post of 13th May.

I do of course share Charlotte Smith on my info but marrying the Whitstable-born not the Bridge-born Alfred.

Which of the two families interests you? -- if it's the Whitstable one, then I'll post the limited extra info I have. Bear in mind it's not verified. If it's the Bridge, Ripple etc one, then I have no info. If it's the Smith family, I cannot help either.

We all need to exercise caution when accepting the results of somebody else's research (including mine, if anyone is going to!). I took for granted some very reliable-looking Seasalter parish register extracts posted in one or two places on the net but have since come to believe that some of the data is wrong -- specifically, on baptisms, two separate families with a father named James Rigden appear to have been conflated and erroneously given the same mother's maiden surname.

Looking forward to hearing from you, Suzannah; I'll try to post a reply over the weekend.
