You were actually refering to Jane Philpott daughter of Jane P nee R. My mistake. I cannot resolve the discrepancy for you. I can tell you however that Jane was JJP's 2nd wife. The first wife was Charlotte Webb, who he married in Jq1876. She died in Sq1878. She is therefore the mother of James Philpott who I mentioned in an earlier post and who was born circa 1876/77. I have not undertaken a systematic search for his B but did notice that there is a James Percy Philpott born in Sq1876. Hope this is of some interest.
