I shall be assisting in this exhibition which will take place at the Horsebridge Centre in Whitstable, from 12th to 27th January 2013, 9am-6pm daily.
The Horsebridge Centre’s will be transformed into a Time Travel Tourist Information Centre from 12th – 27th January 2013 as part of an art installation by artist Alexis K Johnson in collaboration with author and poet Victoria Mosley and film-maker James Johnson, local volunteers and participants. Lead by The Horsebridge Centre, supported by Heritage Lottery Fund.
Visitors will be taken on a fun adventure through Swalecliffe’s Neolithic age, Whitstable’s Oyster fishing and diving era, into the 1950’s & 60’s Herne Bay & Whitstable seaside.
Central to the exhibition will be real people’s stories, from people who know Whitstable and the surrounding areas. The aim is to document and exhibit these stories in film, creative writing, photographs and memorabilia.
Make sure you come along, allowing the exhibits to trigger your own memories to add to this archive. More details will be published here as the exhibition draws nearer.
